It is difficult to believe, but January was the half-way point for the 2010/2011 AWANA year. The weeks are flying by! If you have been considering joining one of  our clubs, either as a clubber or as a leader, there is no better time than the present. We have had as many as 75 clubbers in one night, with over 15 visitors this year. We just celebrated Christmas with a birthday party for Jesus on December 20th. Jesus is truly the Reason for the season, which was our focus with the clubbers. During January and February, we will have boys vs. girls night, the beginning of Memory Marathon, and Love Offering night.

Our focus throughout February will be on the “Advancing Native Missions”, also known to most of us as Dan Reichard, as he serves the Lord in around the world. Since February is considered the love month, especially Valentine’s Day, we want to show our love Advancing Native Missions by taking a love offering for them on February 27th. We will encourage the clubbers to pray for the Reichards daily, that God would bless their efforts and meet their needs. Again, we will have a special love offering on February 27th, but we will be collecting money every week in February, so don’t miss this opportunity to support “Advancing Native Missions”.

We have a lot of fun in the AWANA Clubs, but the most important thing we do is summed up by our key verse: 2 Timothy 2:15 – “STUDY to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” This is the focus of our weekly Bible lessons, and as clubbers memorize God’s Word, we also make sure they understand what they memorize. Come join us– be a part of this exciting ministry! We meet on Sunday nights from 5:45 to 7:15 in the gym.
