Ah, “The Holidays”!    I always love this time of year at Temple.  It is a busy time of year, as everyone knows, but it is also a time where we get to stop and spend time with our family & loved ones, reflect on all the blessings God has bestowed on us, and focus on Christ as we celebrate Him freely coming as the payment for our sins.

We have several exciting events coming up this holiday season.

Leaf Raking Day

Saturday, November 5th – 9:00am-1:00pm – No Cost

Every year the Teens get together and spend a morning raking leaves at church members’ houses.  This is a great opportunity to serve our church and say thank you to those who have done so much for us.  Grab a rake & come give us a hand!

Parent’s Lunch

Saturday, November 12th – 11:30am-1:00pm – Parents Only

Feel out of the loop?  Want to get the skiny on upcoming activities?  Don’t miss our Parent’s Lunch!  Not only is it a great time to get reconnected with upcoming information, it’s also a great time to sit and enjoy a great meal with other parents who are facing the same types of situations that you are.  This is a great resource, don’t miss it!

Teen Christmas Banquet

Saturday, December 3rd – 6:00pm-8:30pm – Cost: $10.00

Our annual Teen Christmas Banquet is a wonderful time of food, fellowship & singing Christmas carols.  We will be having a “White Elephant” so make sure you get your gag gifts ready – signed & framed photos of yourself are always a hit!

Christmas Caroling

Tuesday, December 6th – 6:00pm-8:30pm – No Cost

I love Christmas Carols and in my opinion, there are few better ways to enjoy them than standing on someone’s porch on a cold December night and serenading the neighborhood with the dulcet songs of the season.

Carols are wonderful because it doesn’t matter how fast or slow you sing them, whether or not you are on key, and even if you don’t know all the correct words, you will still bring a smile to someone’s face and help share the joy of Christ.  Start warming your vocal chords, brush up on “O Come All Ye Faithful”, and mark your calendars to spread some Christmas Cheer!
