Dear Friends,
We have arrived back from India. What a trip. God is good. We thank you for your prayers and gifts. Your prayers are a very important part of our ministry.
Persecution of Christians is very real in the part of India we were in. We rode in a van with the curtains drawn, couldn’t leave our rooms, and were whisked away immediately after the invitation was given so that we wouldn’t be there if the authorities came to bust up the revival. We were not allowed to give out tracts or talk about our faith in Christ. We were able to visit the hotel that the theorist bombed in 2002.
We were a part of a team of 25 that included Doctors, Nurses, Dental Hygienist, Preachers, and Children workers.
We ministered in Mudgao, India, at the Mudgao Impact 2012 Discipleship Training. They had over 4,000 attending with close to 300 people accepting Jesus Christ as their savior. We had over 100 baptized in a pond near the meeting place. . At baptism each of these men and women were asked two questions: “Are you willing to die for Jesus?” and “Are you willing to give up your family for Jesus?” For these young believers these are not theoretical questions. These are real weighty decisions. Martyrdom and loss of loved ones for the faith are distinct possibilities for each of them.
We worked with the children’s Bible Camp with over 500 children and 70 decisions for Christ. 15 of those saved were baptized. We were also privilege to give out over 300 Bibles and almost 600 backpacks with school supplies.
We saw masses of people crowded in small spaces in all of the cities. India’s population in 2011 was 1,242,491,960 according to the World Bank. Cows roamed free in the city streets. Poverty was present everywhere.
We also visited the hotel in Mumbai, India that was attacked by terrorists who killed over 100 and took hostages.
We also visited with the Mrs. Matthews and her family for supper one night. The Mathew’s family home was attacked early in the morning over Thanksgiving. This occurred while Mrs. Matthews was inside leading a group of women in prayer. The attacker gained entry into the home but was pushed outside and the door locked. The attacker proceeded to throw large rocks at the house and car resulting in some damage to the house and broken windows in the family van. Praise God that no one was injured. She was understandably frightened, but remarked to her son that her faith is strong in God to provide protection.

Dear Friends,

We had a great trip to Houston last week. Thank you for your prayers. We had a safe trip and saw many people come to Christ.
We enjoyed the time we were able to serve with Pastor Saul Hernandez and his family. We had served with him when he was at Cape Charles. His church is located in Conroe, Texas. Conroe is located about 30 miles north of Houston.
On Friday we had a service with the youth of Conroe Baptist and had several come to Christ. On Saturday we taught a clown class to members of several churches. We enjoy training others to be clowns so they can share Christ with others through clowning. Later that afternoon we went on visitation handing out tracts and inviting people to come out to our service on Sunday.
On Sunday we started the day by doing the main service at Conroe Baptist. We left there and did a program of balloon animals and gave out tracts at a Day of the Children program at Radio Baptist Church. We then left and went to 1st Baptist Church of Conroe and did a program in the main service for the adults and then went in to their children’s church to do a program. We presented a fourth program for the Over and Under Baptist Church, a church downtown Conroe for the homeless people of Conroe. It was a blessing to be with all the churches we visited, but being with the pastor and members of the Over and Under Baptist church was a real blessing.

We were also able to set up a trip to Mexico in September with Brother Saul.

We just returned from our trip to Puerto Nuevo, Mexico. While there we worked with our missionary’s Mike and Brenda Combs, in their Bible school. What a blessing to see and work with them. We have been working with them in Mexico for the last 16 plus years.
They have started a new work in Puerto Nuevo, Sonora, Mexico with veteran Mexico missionaries Ismael Arellano, and Martin Navarro, and their wives.
We did our clown ministry each day in Bible school. We saw 102 young people make 1st time decisions to accept Christ as Savior, and 5 adults on visitation.
What a blessing and encourage it was to see their enthusiasm in their new work. They have been there for about a year and half. At the present time they meet in the yard of a home for their church service. They have purchased some land to build a church. We hope to take a trip in October to help them with the construction of their church building. If you are interested in going with us, contact us as soon as possible. Dear Friends,

We are back from a great trip with the Hoaglands, our missionaries to Mexico City. We spent ten days with them in Mexico.
We started at their youth camp. They run a youth camp for seven weeks each summer. Churches will visit and pick up unchurch youth and bring them to the camp. Usually they will bring 16 bus loads of young people from 600-700 youth for a camp. Camp will last 3 days, and they have two camps a week. The week we were there, the first camp had 792 campers with 446 making salvation decisions, 157 baptisms, and 15 decisions for Bible College. The second camp had 684 campers with 246 making decisions, 122 baptisms, and 10 decisions for Bible College.
These figures are not elevated. When they give an invitation they have counselors talk with each one making a decision. They talk with the individual making a decision about their decision to make sure they understand what they did. They then talk with them about baptism, what it means and how important it is to follow the Lord in baptism. If the individual decides to get baptize they talk to them again before they are baptized.
After the week at camp, we went back to Mexico City to be at their church Sunday morning, where Jimmie had the opportunity to share his testimony with their church. Their church was packed with no extra seating available. People were standing.
After the morning service we changed into our clown outfits and went to one of their feeding centers to do a program. It was also packed. The Hoaglands are doing a great job in Mexico City.
After the clown program we changed and went out to eat supper with the youth pastor of their church and his wife. They have a new baby so we did not have enough room for all of us to fit in their car. So the youth pastor and Jimmie went in a cab to meet them. After a block in that heavy traffic the driver pulled out in front of a car and we were side swiped by another car. Praise the Lord we were not hurt. We then got in another cab and met the ladies at the restaurant.

Thanks for your continued prayers.
I recently returned from my 5th trip to Mexico. On this trip we were able to help build on the church Bro Mike Combs is building. They are meeting in a yard for their church services. This building will be a blessing to them. Keith Ramsey, a member of Temple Baptist Church, went with me. He sang and played the guitar in all of the services. The people loved his sharing music with them.
I had the opportunity to preach in one church service and do my clowning in a park by the Sea of Cortez. There are a lot of tourists in this area. We saw a family from Phoenix come to Christ along with a commercial diver from Cancun. Isn’t God amazing, we go to Mexico to share Christ with the Mexicans and God sends a family from the states and they get saved.
After I got back we had the blessed opportunity to share Christ through our clowning at Brookneal Baptist in Brookneal, VA, during their Trunk and Treat ministry. They had a number of first time visitors that heard the gospel. The next week we went to Timberlake Baptist in Danville, VA, for their Fall Festival. We saw several young people come to Christ.

JIMBO AND SKIDDLES

Dear Friends,
We just arrived back from Guatemala with missionaries Adrian and Marissa Hernandez. They have just moved to Guatemala and have started a new work in several villages.
We visited several towns with Adrian to seek permission for them to hold services in the town. We were invited into meet with the mayor in one town. He was in the middle of a meeting with his town council, but invited us in anyway. He introduce us to all the dignitaries in the office and served us coffee. After the meeting he gave permission to hold meetings in the town. He then sent us with his assistant to look over the area that they could hold their meeting. This will be a great opportunity for the missionaries to establish a church.
After we got back the missionaries emailed us to let us know that they had went back to visit the mayor and had let him to the Lord.
We were in Guatemala during the rainy season and had plenty of rain while there. We also experienced a mild 5.2 earthquake while there. There are 3 active volcanoes around the city of Guatemala and one was smoking.
We also had the opportunity to have a service with a young missionary, Ryan Ashcraft. We met him as a young person in Mexico and had many trips with his family. He is now married, has a child and has started a new church in Guatemala. We saw a number of people saved including several adults in this service.

As you read this we are in Mexico with our missionaries Mike and Brenda Combs. We will be doing a Bible school all week and visiting in at least on village. We hope to be able to do a service down at the coast were a lot of tourist and locals come to visit.
God has blessed us with a unique ministry that He has used in so many amazing ways. We just praise Him and give Him all the credit.
