Dear Supporters,

We have just arrived home from Mexico and are glad to tell you that God is good!  We traveled to eight different villages, two churches, and saw nine people come to know Jesus as their personal Savior.  We also gave out over 1,500 tracts while visiting different villages and towns.

We had the opportunity to work with Job Martinez, a 76 year old Mexican man, who is a layman in a local church.  He now serves ten ministries that he started after accepting Jesus as his personal Savior.  He truly shows the love of God in his work with his people.

Even with the threat of death, he still continues to visit these villages trusting that God will take care of him. We also had the chance to visit his home church and fellowship with his pastor and church members.  What a blessing to spend some time with him.

Since returning, we have also had the opportunity to minister in a chapel service at Temple Baptist Church, our home church, and through a ministry at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Madison Heights.

We now are preparing for our trip to the Philippines on the 6th of April. Please pray for us as we prepare to leave for the Philippines. We are excited to see what God has in store for us as we continue in the work we started on our last visit.  We can’t wait to share with you the great things He allows us to be a part of.

We have returned from our two week trip to the Philippines. We had a safe and fruitful trip. My, how God blessed. We saw over 700 people come to Christ. Below is a letter from one of the three pastors we worked with while in the Philippines.

Dear Brother Jimmie and Sister Faye,

A blessed day to you.  It was a wonderful blessing and experience when you visited our work here in Dasmarinas, Cavite.  We were all very excited and waiting for the day to come.  It was our first time to have a visitor like you who is doing missionary work as clowns for Christ.

Indeed, God has many ways to reach each people, especially the children. It’s been the ministry of the church at first to teach and bring children for Christ. We have started a few extension classes on our nearby barangay.  Now, we have ten areas in which lots of children are coming to attend every Saturday in the afternoon. Our love for the children has never changed. 

I myself, and the church were overwhelmed that day.  We had almost 500 children that came.  How God provided for our needs to feed them afterwards, and the many things you brought them that added to their joy, (especially teaching them about Christ and the way of Salvation, through the Gospel necklace).  The children enjoyed very much, the lollipops and your sweet smiles for them. 

We pray that we can have you again next year.  My wife already looked on your website.  She was very glad to view it (especially your ministry for the school, the music department, your new church building, and the picture of your pastor).

Mexico Trip 2010

We are back from Mexico City after ministering with missionaries Anita and Ed Hoagland. We had a great ministry with over 70 people coming to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
We did two programs each day at their church for Bible school. We went to two of their feeding centers and one mission church and did a program at each one. Jimmie had the opportunity to preach in their midweek service.
We thank you for your prayers and financial help that allow us to go on these trips. May God bless you as we partner together to see people coming into the kingdom.
As we continue to plan our trips for next year we covet your prayers. We have already planned a trip back to the Philippines in March 2011 and possibly a week long chapel in a school in Greenville, SC. While we continue to plan for next we are still ministering around this area.

Clowns for Christ in Pohnpei, Micronesia

We just got back from Pohnpei, Micronesia from a great mission trip. God blessed in a mighty way. We saw many people come to Christ.  We were able to preach Christ through clowning in a number of public schools.  Our host missionaries, George and Patty Milgrim, told us that we were the first ones to go into the public schools to share Christ. They would not allow any of the pastors of the churches on the island in the public schools to share Christ.

In all of our programs we share a saying with the group that goes like this:  “I’m special, I’m unique, I’m one of a kind, there’s no one like me, and I can make a difference.”  Before we left to come back to the U.S. we received over 100 notes from the children in the schools. I want to share two with you.

I had the chance to preach in 6 churches, we did our clown program in 4 public schools, 4 churches, and 5 days (twice a day) in a Christian school, a program one night for the public and a visit to the Island hospital.  Faye and I also spoke at the Men’s and Women’s prayer breakfast they have once a month.

We want to thank you for the prayers you have given us.  We certainly don’t take your prayers for us lightly.  While there we held a number of outdoor meetings and did not have to cancel one even though it rains an average of 50 “ a month!
